Random finally had some time off and he was going to make the most of it. He punched in the numbers on the phone and made arrangements to meet with the woman who would change his life.
"I will peer in the crystal ball and tell you your future," the matchmaker offered, then delicately added. "For whatever price you see fit. Tips are welcome."
Almost as good as the one he had before he bought the trailer!
Feeling slightly miffed at the paltry fee, Elle selected a date that likely would not have been on Random's list of "hotties". Serves him right! she huffed.
Random was determined to see this date through to its completion, no matter how... old... his date was. "Um, wow, you're not what I was expecting at all!" he told her. His date scowled and sent him a withering gaze, glancing behind him at the trailer home. "Well, you're no prize either," she told him.
It was going to be a long date.
He offered to order some pizza and watch some tv, but Ivy suggested they walk over to the city park for their date.
He was drawn to the dartboard and Ivy followed, making stitled conversation. This was going to go down as the worst date ever! Thank plumbob he didn't have to marry the woman like in some challenges!
That would have been pretty wacky!
And Sandy Bruty was so cute. And her sense of fashion! On point!
"Sure," Sandy Bruty said. "I can hang around."
"Worst. Date. Ever," Ivy thought as she hid in the bathroom.
Did she hide in the bathroom to avoid saying goodbye?
"Ah, come on, it wasn't that bad!"
Hands washed of the bad date, Random quickly made his move on Sandy.
They spent the evening together, slow dancing near the fountain.
"Sorry, can't blame a guy for trying!"
He kissed her chastely goodbye, promising to call her soon. It wasn't quite a dream date, but he knew he was going to see her again.Random had a pep in his step the next morning on his way to work. Love was in the air!
The first thing when he got home was call Sandy to invite her over.
The music was flowing and Random was picking up a great vibe from Sandy. He could tell by the way that they danced, their chemistry was going to be electric.
She made the first move, curling into his body and kissing him.
They stumbled to the couch for a makeout session.
Then finally ended up in bed together.
But no matter how annoyed or angry he got, Sandy was great at smoothing things over.
One sucky thing about their relationship was that they worked pretty opposite schedules. She worked early, he worked late. While he slept, it often left her with some time to kill.
"Hey you!" Sandy called out with a cheery wave.
Sandy shrugged, "Just a little bit. We're saving up for a better place," she told him quickly. "Wanna come in and hang out for a bit?"
Well, for the most part. "So remind me whey we ever broke up," Sinjin asked. "Because I can't remember for the life of me!" He hadn't met her new boyfriend, but she didn't have as much history with that putz as she did with him.
It had been a pretty messy break-up with plenty of screaming, tears and broken dishes. But it had been years ago when they were both young and stupid.
"Oh yeah," Sinjin said, shaking his head, then steering the conversation back to local gossip. "Did you hear what Goopy said at the arcade?..."
He shooed the cat off the bed, finding himself annoyed yet again.
But when he slipped between the covers, Sandy scooted backwards and nestled her body against his and smoothed it away.
