Looking for Love - Day One

The boys mingled as the waited for their Bachelorette to arrive.

"What do you think she'll look like?" Griff asked.

"She's gotta be beautiful!" Kampol answered hopefully.

Douglas chuckled.  "That would suck if she belonged in an uglacy!"

Lyndsey was pleasantly surprised by the random assortment of bachelors.  She couldn't wait to get to know them better!
She headed straight to the gentleman with the striped yellow shirt.  "Hi, I'm Lyndsay," she announced, greeting him.  They enjoyed a small bit of small talk before she turned to another gentleman nearby.
"So, what made you think about doing something like this?" she asked Holden curiously.

Lyndsay noticed that the parlor was now almost empty.  Where did everybody go?
At least Holden and Conrad were still here.

"Hey, wanna throw the ball for a bit?"
LAME!
Feeling the need to be a bit more assertive, Lyndsay interrupted the nearest bachelor and tried to get to know him better.

"Oh man, I almost caught that," Douglas complained.

Overall frustrated with how things were progressing so far, she wandered inside to gain some composure and get out of the heat.

Thankfully Kampol was smart enough to join the Bachelorette inside and attempted to earn some brownie points.

"So, how about this weather we're having?" he asked, then inwardly cringed.  Small talk wasn't his forte.

"Really? The weather?" Lyndsay asked.
A day like this required no small amount of bubbles, Lyndsay thought as she overloaded the bath water with suds then sank down in the water.   Would the boys even notice she was missing?
Apparently the line for the bathroom was holding the guys up.  Someone must have forgotten to tell them there was a working toilet downstairs, as well.
So lame, Lyndsay thought, starting to regret ever signing up for the Bachelorette Challenge.  She would have to pick the love of her life from this bunch?  It wasn't looking good.
For goodness sake, Kampol couldn't even dance!
Xavier joined Holden at the bar and made himself a drink.
"So, how do you think it's going?" Holden asked his competitor.

"Great, I bet!" Xavier replied optimistically.
"There's no need to make sandwiches for everyone," Lyndsay told Kampol.  "Production provided the buffet," she motioned to the spread set out on the buffet table.
Smelling the food, the guys made a bee-line for the table.
"I made sandwiches, if anyone wants some," Kampol announced, motioning to the table.

A for effort, Kampol!

A quick count of the table reveals someone was missing.

First of all, why did you not join everyone for dinner. Second of all, who the heck are you thinking about?
"What'd I miss?" Douglas asked, snagging a gelatin and plopping down at the table.

When Lyndsay suggested a swim after dinner, she expected everyone to join her.  Oh well, at least they didn't see her embarrassing belly flop.
The clueless men headed into the den to watch sports and hang out.

After such a fun-filled day spent getting to know the Bachelorette, most of the guys headed upstairs and crashed out by 9 pm.

Kampol, however, decided to spend the evening with Lyndsay. She was delighted to gossip about Sandy cheating on her best friend, Random.  That b@!*#!

While she was sure they were fast becoming friends, he unfortunately didn't quite know her well enough for a friendly hug goodnight.
Aw, poor Lyndsay.  This face about sums up how the first day went!
As she went to bed, she tried to be optimistic.  At least there was no way tomorrow could be worse! Hopefully.

    1. Lol. It was a pretty spectacularly uneventful first day! I was starting to worry they thought they were in a Big Brother Challenge! :D
