Heating Up

 

Random was excited to spruce the place up since Boolprop Bop was doing so well.   An enclosed garage was nice for keeping his trash can from getting kicked over.  He could care less if Sandy stole his newspapers. Joke's on her; they just cluttered the yard anyways. 

What he was most looking forward to using was the new in-ground swimming pool.

He and Danny also went halfsies on some new rent-to-own furniture.  The place was really starting to look like a home.

Most important was the new master bedroom suite they had built on.  Now that they were both involved with other people, it just didn't make sense to keep sharing a bed.  Talk about a mess waiting to happen!

Danielle called for Random at the top of her lungs, cursing the fact that he'd moved across the house.  Plumbbob, she wanted him here to hold her hand!

Welcome to the family baby girl Ollie Lillard.   (*cry* I totally forgot baby girl wouldn't have the Boolprop surname since baby mama didn't get married. Drats!  What kind of name is Ollie Lillard anyways? Too many L's!)

Random came running, belatedly.  All the hard work was already done.

"She's beautiful," he told her, giving Danny a quick kiss on the lips. 

 

Danielle watched Buddy play with his toy as she held his baby sister.  She could only hope they would be great friends!

"Hey, thanks for coming Lynds," Random gave his dear friend a quick hug, his eyes on Jill.

"Hey Babe," he said, drawing her in for a kiss.  Things were pretty hot and heavy between them.  They'd had a few amazing dream dates and he was already looking forward to the next one!

"Hi Random," Joe greeted the couple as he walked into the room.

"Hey man, Danny is back in the bedroom with the kids. She'll be out soon," Random said, greeting Danny's new beau with a thump on the back.  "How've you been?"

Much better now that he knew Random had a different bedroom and a girlfriend, Joe thought smugly.

The party raged on with the couples shaking their booties and living it up.  Random was surprised to see Jason and Lynds dancing a little dirty together.  Maybe a summer fling was heating up.

No pool party would be complete without some Marco Polo and splashing! 

Jill stayed after the rest of the guests left, plopping down beside Random and sighing contentedly. 

Danielle glanced up and smiled.  "You guys make such a cute couple," she told them.

Random pulled Jill to his side and snuggled up to her.  "We sure do," he murmured.

Things were certainly heating up between them!

Meanwhile, Danielle did the math to make sure the flock was still all there.  She did notice that a certain gnome was missing again.  I might have to keep track of how many gnomes get stolen instead. High score wins!

"Dad? I'm hungwy, can you make me macawoni?" Buddy asked, barrelling into the room as a precocious 5-year old was prone to doing.  Jill gasped and turned to cover up, embarrassed to be caught in her undies in front of the boy. 

"Sure, Buddy. Give me a moment. Go wait in your room."

Random was whipping up a box of macaroni in just a few short minutes.  He'd thought it was cute how embarrassed Jill was that Buddy barged in.

"One bowl of mac n cheesy for Buddy!" he announced, serving the food with a flourish that made Buddy giggle. 

Danielle quickly joined the two.

"How did you and Daddy make Ollie?" Buddy asked out of the blue.  "By kissing?"

Danielle chuckled when Random started choking on his food. "What?" he asked with surprise.  "I saw Mommy kissing Sinjin. Does that mean she's going to have a baby soon?"

"That's not how it works sweetie," Danielle said, patting his hand. 

Jill had finished dressing and joined them at the table, catching only the last bit of the conversation.  "What are we talking about?" she asked.

"Nothing!" Random said quickly.  "We'll talk about it man to man a little later, Bud."

Danielle smothered another chuckle.

After dinner and brushing his teeth, it was time for bedtime for Buddy.  "Sleep well, Bud," Random told him, tucking him in and giving him a kiss on his forehead.  "If Ollie starts to cry, come let Auntie Danny or me know, okay?" Then he remembered. "Oh, but knock first!"

"I wish you'd stay," Random said, wrapping his arms around Jill.  "Buddy will knock next time."

Jill sighed and leaned her head on his shoulder. "I should go, though. I shouldn't be sleeping over with all the kids in the house."

"But I have so much fun when you stay," he cajoled.

"I'll see you soon," Jill said firmly, kissing him soundly before grabbing her purse and heading home for the night.

Not really sleepy, Random headed to the Boolprop Bop.
